Have you ever considered that obesity may indeed be as a result of a food addiction?

Most eating disorder programs that I am aware of try and ‘normalise’ eating. For example: they try and teach a compulsive overeater to eat their binge food in moderation or encourage an overweight diabetic to eat small amounts of sugar.

This makes very little sense to me.

As Prof Tim Noakes notes above: ‘The only long-term cure for obesity is to remove all addictive food choices from one’s diet. There is no other long-term solution.”

HELP offers Inpatient eating disorder programs that equip food addicts with the tools to maintain abstinence from their drug of choice. We choose to empower our patients in body, mind and spirit.
